Volunteering can be a richly rewarding experience. From the first day Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital opened its doors, it has depended on the generosity of volunteers. Today Culbertson Memorial Hospital is building on that tradition of neighbors helping neighbors through the Friends of CMH program.

The Friends of CMH program lets volunteers choose which project they would like to be involved in depending on how many hours they want to volunteer. We have daily patient escort and couriering positions as well as back up volunteers. Friends of CMH must be at least 18 years of age to enter the program.

Some opportunities, such as our Patient Escort Program, require training in safety, infection control, patient confidentiality, and other important hospital policies, as well as committing to a regular schedule. Other opportunities, such as helping with our annual Chicken Noodle Dinner or Golf Tournament, only require volunteers at certain times of the year and training is not necessary.
