Price Transparency
Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital is committed to being transparent about our charges. Per CMS regulations all hospitals operating within the United States are required and make public a list of standard charges for all items and services provided. Hospitals are additionally required to establish (and update) and make public a list of standard charges for each Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) established under section 1886 (d)(4) of the Social Security Act. Prices are subject to change.
We understand the insurance process can be confusing. That’s why it’s important to plan in advance and review your insurance plan.
Understanding what portion of the costs will be your responsibility can help you and your family plan effectively for the cost of your care. Most insurance plans do not cover 100% of your hospital stay or other visits. To better understand your coverage, talk to your insurance provider.
Note that out-of-pocket costs vary from patient to patient based upon each patient's clinical need and specific insurance coverage. The amount you actually pay will depend upon your insurance plan's deductible and coinsurance obligations, if any.
For more information about the cost of your individualized care, please contact the Health Information Management Department at (217) 322-4321. Please understand that the information provided will be an estimate based on the information available before services and is not a guarantee.
