Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Location: The Virginia, Rushville, IL, 5-8 pm

In the midst of busy lives, caring for children or parents, work pressures, and daily routines, how often do women truly take a moment to pause—for themselves? For their mental well-being? For their joy?

The answer, too often, is not enough.

That’s why Culbertson Memorial Hospital is proud to present Pampered Pink, a truly special, heartwarming event designed just for women—women of all ages, stages, and walks of life. Whether you're a young adult navigating new beginnings, a mother juggling schedules and to-do lists, or a wise woman embracing the beauty of aging, this night is for you.

Hosted at The Virginia in Rushville, Pampered Pink is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of who you are. It’s a space to breathe, reconnect with yourself, and be surrounded by women who understand what it means to carry a full heart and a full plate.

This free evening blends education, indulgent self-care, and community spirit, offering something truly nourishing for your mind, body, and soul.

Why Women Need This: The Mental Health Connection

Let’s take a moment to talk about something we don’t talk about enough—mental health. Specifically, women’s mental health.

From a young age, women are often taught to be caregivers—to tend to others, hold things together, and stay strong even when they’re exhausted. Over time, that invisible weight adds up. Whether it's the sleepless nights with a newborn, the emotional labor of keeping a family connected, navigating career stress, or caring for aging parents, women often put their own needs on the back burner.

And it’s not just about responsibilities. Hormonal shifts, including those related to menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause, can dramatically affect mood, energy levels, and emotional well-being. These changes aren’t always easy to discuss, let alone manage on one's own.

Heidi Greer, Family Nurse Practitioner at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, emphasizes the importance of recognizing and addressing these silent burdens:

“As women, we naturally pour so much of ourselves into others. But we cannot continue to give if we are running on empty. Taking time for self-care and reflection isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Pampered Pink is a beautiful opportunity for women to reset and prioritize their health in a supportive environment.”

The truth is, you deserve to be cared for too. And events like Pampered Pink help women press pause, take a deep breath, and remember what it feels like to be nurtured.

Feed Your Mind: Empowering Talks That Inspire

One of the highlights of Pampered Pink is the chance to hear from two amazing providers who are deeply passionate about women’s wellness.

Heidi Greer – “Pause, Breathe, Thrive: How to Prioritize Your Health”

Heidi Greer is a Family Nurse Practitioner who works closely with women throughout every stage of life—from adolescence to post-menopause. She understands how stress, hormone fluctuations, and life changes can influence not just physical health, but emotional and mental well-being too.

In her talk, she’ll offer realistic, compassionate advice on how to create space for your own health. Whether it's establishing simple daily habits, learning to set boundaries, or recognizing early signs of burnout, her insights are both practical and powerful.

Her message is clear: You matter. Your health matters. Your happiness matters.

Dr. Deseray Aguirre – “The Art of Aging Well: Living with Energy, Strength and Purpose”

Dr. Aguirre, a Family Medicine physician, brings a thoughtful and uplifting perspective on how to embrace aging with vitality and grace. Her talk will focus on strategies to keep your body strong, your mind clear, and your purpose bright as you journey through the decades.

She’ll speak on topics like:

This isn’t about fighting aging—it’s about thriving through it. Every woman, no matter her age, will find something empowering in Dr. Aguirre’s words.

Restore Your Soul: Self-Care That Feels Like a Hug

Once your mind is full of inspiration, it’s time to treat your body and soul.

At Pampered Pink, we’ve lined up an array of pampering experiences that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and radiant. Here’s just a glimpse of what’s waiting for you:

Whether you’re chatting with a friend, discovering a new favorite product, or simply savoring a quiet moment with a piece of chocolate, you’ll feel genuinely cared for.

The Power of Community: Supporting Women Through Cancer

One of the most meaningful aspects of Pampered Pink is that it’s not just about receiving—it’s also about giving back.

During the evening, we’ll hold a silent auction, and all proceeds will benefit the Culbertson Memorial Hospital Infusion Center.  Funds will be used for providing patient care bags for new chemotherapy patients, including a tote bag, journal and comfort care items.

These care bags are filled with thoughtful items—comfort items, practical tools, and heartfelt notes—that bring encouragement and hope to women beginning their cancer treatment journey.

It’s a small gesture that makes a big emotional impact, reminding each woman that she is not alone and that her community is standing behind her with love and support.

By attending Pampered Pink, you’re not only nurturing yourself—you’re helping lift up another woman in her time of need.

Who Should Attend? (Hint: Every Woman!)

One of the most beautiful things about Pampered Pink is that it’s for every woman. Whether you’re 18 or 88, you’ll find something meaningful in the evening.

No matter your age or stage of life, this night is for you. Come as you are—tired, joyful, overwhelmed, curious—and leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and deeply valued.

Women are strong. Women are caregivers, professionals, nurturers, friends, leaders, and so much more. But even the strongest among us need time to pause and be replenished.
