Full-time: 3 12-hour nights (Either Sun, Mon, Tue or Wed, Thur, Fri)

Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time, on-site a MT/MLT to join our team. Located in Rushville, IL, Culbertson is a 22 bed Critical Access Hospital. Schedule:
- Full-time: 3 12-hour nights (Either Sun, Mon, Tue or Wed, Thurs, Fri)
- Part-time: Days, Monday through Friday, Hours will vary (Rotating Holidays)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for obtaining patient samples for the performing of laboratory tests in order to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in accordance with established policies and procedures and is responsible for recognizing results that require referral to the Pathologist. Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Necessary Skills:
- Successfully complete an accredited MLT/CLS, MT/MLS program and have an Associates or Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, Applied Science, chemical, physical or biological science
- Successful completion of the ASCP/AMT registry exam.
- Recommended one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Ability to remember words, numbers, procedures and pieces of information.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time with good organizational skills, judgment and technical skills.
- Analytical skills necessary in order to interpret routine tests, recognize abnormal test results and troubleshoot equipment.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Demonstrate patience, tact, professionalism and enthusiasm
- The ability to work as a team and exceptional customer service is a must.
