Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time, on-site Patient Access Clerk in the Rushville Family Practice location to join our team. JOB SUMMARY: A Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact in a patient’s healthcare journey. They are responsible for collecting and entering correct demographic and insurance information into the CMH database. They are also responsible for scheduling appointments for patients, answering the hospital or clinic switchboard, and escorting patients to the appropriate location, when needed. Applicant must possess excellent customer service and computer skills as well as the ability to multi-task and close attention to detail.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm

Experience/Necessary Skills:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Some medical background preferred
• Good customer service skills
  
• Ability to work in a high stress fast paced environment
  
• Ability to obtain detailed information through oral and written communication
