Overview 

A CNA provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports patient safety and comfort, assists with activities of daily living, and helps maintain a clean and therapeutic environment while adhering to established hospital policies and procedures. 

Duties:

• Under the supervision of the Emergency Room Provider and the direction of the Registered Nurse, assists to provide care to patients in the Emergency Department within the defined scope of practice.  
• Provide basic nursing and supportive care
• Performs treatments and provides services within scope of practice
• Assists in patient admission, transfer and discharge activities
• Assists in moving, ambulating, lifting and transporting patients. 

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited training program for Certified Nursing Assistant.
• BLS Certification required
