Culbertson Care: From Head to Toe
Providing top-notch care to our community means introducing new providers that help us extend our medical services, while keeping you close to home. Culbertson Memorial Hospital is proud to now offer Neurology Services at our Outpatient Specialty Clinic.
What is neurology?
Neurology is a branch of medicine specializing in both muscle diseases, peripheral disorders of the nerves, spinal cord diseases, and brain-related disorders. Neurological practice relies heavily on the field of neuroscience, the scientific study of the nervous system.
What are the common reasons to see a neurologist?
- Headaches
- Seizures
- Changes in Brain Function
- Increased Intracranial Pressure
As these symptoms can point to the presence of a more serious condition, there are other reasons you could be experiencing any or all of them, so it’s important to see your neurologist with any concerns.
When may it be time to seek emergency medical attention?
If you have a headache accompanied with these symptoms, you may need to seek emergency medical attention:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Double Vision
- Lethargy
- Balance/Movement Problems
New onset seizures also require emergency care. See your doctor if you are experiencing worsening headaches, especially if worse in the morning, while coughing/straining, or have symptoms of brain function changes.
Does Culbertson Memorial offer neurology care?
Yes! It’s important to us to bring in the latest in neurology services to our community and pledge to maintain the high-quality standard of care you expect from Culbertson Memorial.
