Biography:
Arpit Shah, M.D. is a board-certified interventional cardiologist recognized for his expertise in structural heart disease and cardiovascular interventions. He previously served as medical director of the Structural Heart Program at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida. Dr. Shah expanded access to critical cardiac treatments and specialized in advanced procedures including transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO).
Dr. Shah completed a structural heart disease fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in New York. He also served as chief cardiology fellow at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s–Mount Sinai West, where he gained leadership experience and advanced clinical training in complex cardiovascular care.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Shah has published meta-analyses and studies exploring drug-eluting stent implantation techniques, renin-angiotensin system blockade, and advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies.
